Latest Applications Launched Overview

Boston a city of the United States is going to use technology at its best in order to fix potholes bumpy problem. One of the council's new campaign in order to re construct and renovate bothersome roads is an upcoming Android application which is called “Street Bump”.

This application named Street Bump uses the device's Global Positioning System and accelerometer in order to detect the potholes automatically, trace and testimony holes in the road's surface as you drive.

The developers of this android application claim that this application is smart and efficient to detect small holes and ditches accurately, before they turn into big potholes.

The biggest mobile company “Nokia” has formed alliance with the biggest computer related company “Microsoft” to take on smart phone giants. Nokia announced that it plans to form a "broad strategic partnership" with Microsoft, in order to take on Google and Apple in the smart phone market.

In this Nokia Microsoft partnership Nokia plans to sideline its own Symbian operating system and talking new and fresh Windows Phone 7 as primary smart phone operating system.

There are available invisibility cloaks that can hide small objects, even those objects as well which are visible to the naked eye. Now, scientist and researchers have worked for the advancement of these cloaks and by using the same meta-material, they have constructed an acoustic cloak, a technology that makes the underwater objects invisible to sonar and other ultrasound waves.

A mechanical science and engineering professor Nicholas Fang, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and leader of this project says,
“We are not talking about science fiction. We are talking about controlling sound waves by bending and twisting them in a designer space”.

“RoboEarth” a project which will allow robots to exchange their knowledge. Some of the European scientists are working on a project called “RoboEarth” by which it would be possible for two robots to exchange each other’s information which would be best for the purpose of such competitions or tasks in which two robots have to work together.

The idea for the implementation is to build up a library of knowledge that will let the robots come into contact with each other and service more quickly.
